<p>Position Description</p> <p>Responsible for the overall maintenance of the buildings, grounds and security of the Campus.</p> <p>Personal Touch: Respect, Responsiveness, and Responsibility in all professional relationships, specifically, employee to student, employee to employee, and employee to community. College employees acknowledge their obligation to model and teach the three R's to influence student development of behaviors that will lead to academic, professional, and personal success.</p> <p>Assessment: Contributions to assessment for continuous quality improvement of the academic support area(s) within assigned scope of responsibilities.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>1)Advanced maintenance of the campus buildings to include preventative maintenance, lighting of the buildings and parking lots, minor plumbing, electrical and HVAC troubleshooting/repair, including maintaining and monitoring and adjust system as needed. Works closely with outside contractors.</p> <p>2)Maintaining the grounds of the College including mowing, trimming, and litter. Also caring for all planting beds by planting, weeding, pesticide application, and mulching. In the winter, snow removal consisting of plowing, salting and clearing of sidewalks.</p> <p>3)Provide daily and at intervals deep cleaning of the College buildings to include emptying trash, cleaning the floors and restrooms. Also, to monitor cleaning supplies inventory and ordering as needed.</p> <p>4)Other duties as assigned and arise with examples following:</p> <ul> <li>Provides an extension of leadership in absence of supervisor </li><li>Works directly with supervision to provide guidance and mentoring to Building attendant I team members as needed. </li><li>Planning daily activities </li><li>Small engine work and maintenance of mowers and power equipment </li><li>Assisting all areas of the College facilities operations as needed. </li><li>Storeroom and delivery coverage </li></ul> <p>5)Responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of our campus community to include Faculty, Staff, Students, Visitors, and Constituents.
