We strongly encourage members of underrepresented communities to apply to join our community.</p> <p>Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>MassBay Community College seeks a qualified part-time Computed Tomography Instructor for the current and future semesters. The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have a desire and ability to work with a diverse population. This instructor provides instruction and support for students accepted into the Computed Tomography program. This involves developing and updating the curriculum for the Computed Tomography program and ensuring the courses are taught consistently with ARRT standards. The instructor must be credentialed in Computed Tomography, have recent computed tomography experience, teaching experience, communicate effectively, be able to assess students objectively, and work as part of a team.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching and promoting success among a diverse student population. The candidate is expected to commit to excellence in teaching and learning, collaboration and professional development. Adjunct faculty are expected to deliver course materials in a learner-centered environment conductive to engaging students in the learning process. The faculty member in this position communicates consistently and effectively with students, faculty and administrators, and responds to communications within a 24 hour period of time. The faculty is responsible for managing this course through timely grading of assignments, providing substantial student feedback with assignments, and submission of clinical evaluations, attendance and grades. This is a Part-Time non Benefitted position.</p> <p>Semester, Dates, Times:</p> <p>Work: Fall (Sept-Dec), Spring (January-May)</p> <p>Beginning Fall/ Sept-Dec 2025 Courses:</p> <p>TO 201 Computed Tomography 1 Introduction - 2 credits. Begin in Fall 2025;</p> <p>TO 214 Computed Tomography Cross-Sectional Anatomy - 2 credits. Begins in Fall 2025.</p> <p>Beginning Spring/ Jan-May 2026 Courses:</p> <p>TO 202 Computed Tomography II Advanced - 2 credits) begins in Spring 2026;</p> <p>TO 215 Computed Tomography Pathology & Procedures - 2 credits) begins in Spring 2026.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities and Duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Collaborate with program officials on students' academic progress and needs;</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in student instruction and teaching;</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in the assessment of course and program learning outcomes;</p> </li><li> <p>Follow College protocols and procedures and stay within the curriculum;</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration, assess students objectively, and work as part of a team;</p> </li><li> <p>Stay current with developments in the profession on the instructor's own time;</p> </li><li> <p>Use the College's technology effectively to communicate with students, colleagues, and administration;</p> </li><li> <p>Be timely in communication;</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other related duties as assigned by the Dean/dean's designee.</p> </li></ul> <p>Commitment to Equity:</p> <ul> <li>Support MassBay's commitment to the Equity Agenda; </li><li>Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students on the College's strategic initiatives dedicated to closing the equity gap related to student outcomes; </li><li>Support MassBay's commitment to being anti-racist; embracing a community free of bias and inequality; </li><li>Contribute to discussion and review of applicable College policies with a critical lens toward diversity, equity and inclusion. </li></ul> <p>This list is not to be considered all-inclusive. A supervisor may assign other duties as required to meet the needs and foster the mission of the College.</p> <p>All employees of MassBay are expected to work collegially and collaboratively within a community that values and celebrates diversity.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications (per the union specifications):</p> <ul> <li> <p>A minimum of four (4) years of recent work experience in a Computed Tomography role or relevant combination of work experience;</p> </li><li> <p>Some teaching experience/working at a teaching hospital also applies here;</p> </li><li> <p>Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affirmative Action and workforce diversity;</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in a diverse environment;</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated commitment to working with underserved students;</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree preferred;</p> </li><li> <p>Online teaching experience is preferred;</p> </li><li> <p>Bilingual language skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Evidence of a career that includes a strong work ethic with a proven track record of project completion, multi-tasking, and the ability to handle high-pressure environments.</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Salary Range: $1397-$1585 DCE per credit.</p> <p>Classification: DCE-Adjunct</p> <p>Source of Funding: State Appropriation</p> <p>To Apply: Please complete our online application by clicking the "Apply" button.
