<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>You will engage primarily in clinical and educational activities with an</p> <p>appropriate balance of administration and scholarly/academic</p> <p>activities. Teaching of medical students and residents through an</p> <p>administrative or academic role within the Department of Family</p> <p>Medicine are expected. Appropriate administrative duties will include</p> <p>participation in the decision-making process of the department. Other</p> <p>duties include but are limited to: teaching and liaison activities with</p> <p>other departments when appropriate, professional and personal</p> <p>counseling of medical students, preparation and delivery of</p> <p>appropriate lectures and seminars, and provision of direct patient</p> <p>care through the department's medical service group. Overall</p> <p>supervision is provided by the Chair of the Department of Family</p> <p>Medicine, College of Medicine, SUNY Upstate Medical University.</p> <p>ACTIVITIES: Anticipated clinical 80% including call, clinical care and</p> <p>outside clinical obligations; 20% teaching residents or medical</p> <p>students, and others who are present in our Department with a</p> <p>primary emphasis on the broad spectrum of Family Medicine.</p> <p>Participate in curriculum development and in the evaluation of</p> <p>residents/medical students. Maintain updated lecture series and</p> <p>materials needed to teach resident didactics or medical student</p> <p>clinical skills and/or case studies curriculum. Other duties as directed</p> <p>by the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Family Medicine MD/DO, NYS license, board-certified.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Family Medicine MD/DO, NYS license, board-certified. 2-3 years</p> <p>experience working in an outpatient Family Medicine practice</p> <p>preferred</p> <p>Work Days:</p> <p>Generally M-F 8am-4:30pm some early morning or early evening meetings</p> <p>Salary Range/Pay Rate:</p> <p>DOQ</p> <p>Message to Applicants: Please submit CV and cover letter with application.
