This is because we celebrate the diversity of thought, the richness of the human experience and the desire to reflect the communities we serve.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Perform a variety of material handling duties and responsibilities to ensure the consistent flow of materials throughout the donated goods and retail division.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist in general warehouse operations by performing assigned duties in warehouse, post- consumer sorting of commodities, outlet rotation and tipping. </li><li>Accurately completes paperwork including but not limited to: Truck manifest forms, powered industrial equipment inspections, SAP scanning. </li><li>Maintains a clean and organized work area that is cleaned of dust, debris, loose clothing and any hazards during and at the end of each shift. </li><li>Receives goods from the general public; to include, but not be limited to: Greets and assists donors by providing information; unloads donations; offers and provides receipts, determines what is acceptable according to criteria; rejects unusable items tactfully; as per training, provides tax information per guidelines; maintains excellent public relations at all times; sorts donations into proper containers and removes trash; completes all necessary paperwork such as daily donor logs, donor receipts, etc.; keeps donation site clear and clean at all times. </li><li>Presents an appropriate appearance and good customer service to the general public and coworkers. </li><li>Promotes an environment of workplace safety. Assures that duties are performed in a safe manner and safety requirements are adhered to. </li><li>Communicates progress, concerns and issues to Distribution Center Manager in a timely manner. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>No formal education necessary. </li></ul> <p>Skills/Abilities/Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to read, write and perform simple math. </li><li>Must present a neat appearance and have the ability to communicate effectively with general public. </li><li>Must be able to work with equipment such as pallet jacks, trash compactors, balers and operate equipment following all safety guidelines at all times. </li><li>Must have the flexibility to work overtime and varied hours to include Saturdays and Sundays. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work in all weather extremes. </li><li>Ability to work around dust, dirt, fumes and varied noise levels. </li><li>Ability to walk and stand for a full day. </li><li>Ability to stand continuously for more than 75% of the shift. </li><li>Ability to climb, stoop, crouch, reach, and bend. </li><li>Ability to bend, kneel and stoop to open and close doors and secure loads for 10% of the shift. </li><li>Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally. </li><li>Ability to push and pull various carts requiring a force of 50 pounds a distance of 150 feet for 25% of the shift. </li><li>Ability to push and pull manual pallet jacks with gaylords or other material requiring an initial force of 60 pounds and distance of 100 feet for 25% of the shift. </li><li>Ability to push and pull the speed lift requiring an initial force of 60 pounds a distance of 20 feet up to four times per shift. </li><li>Ability to lift 50 pounds from ground level to waist level frequently for more than 75% of the shift. </li><li>Ability to lift 75 pounds from ground level to waist level once per shift. </li><li>Ability to step up 24 inches at a time onto forklifts and/or truck cab steps for 10% of the shift. </li><li>Visual and hearing acuity (with correction) that meets standard vision and hearing test criteria. </li></ul> <p>Goodwill Keystone Area is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to complying with all federal, state, and local laws that prohibit discrimination in employment.
