<p>Job Title Graduate Assistant for Operations & Employer Engagement Special Instructions to Applicants</p> <p>To apply, you will need your resume, cover letter, a list of professional references.</p> <p>Posting Number 20161599STD Job Description</p> <p>The Graduate Assistant (GA) for Operations & Employer Engagement will support the professional staff in overseeing the student employees who manage the career center's front desk and provide operational support for employer-related initiatives. This role includes supervising undergraduate student employees, managing their schedules, conducting weekly staff meetings, and ensuring effective front desk operations. Additionally, the GA will assist with employer engagement efforts such as on-campus interviews, employer visits, career fairs, and other recruitment events. The GA will also participate in professional staff meetings to align their work with broader career services goals.</p> <p>Specific responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise a team of undergraduate student employees responsible for front desk operations, providing guidance and support. </li><li>Manage and coordinate student employee schedules to ensure adequate front desk coverage. </li><li>Conduct weekly one-on-one supervision meetings with student employees to provide feedback and professional development. </li><li>Lead weekly staff meetings with the front desk team to discuss updates, challenges, and best practices. </li><li>Oversee the hiring, training, and onboarding of new front desk student employees. </li><li>Ensure smooth execution of front desk operations, including appointment scheduling and visitor assistance. </li><li>Support employer engagement initiatives, including scheduling and coordinating on-campus interviews, employer visits, and networking events. </li><li>Assist in the planning and execution of employer-related events such as career fairs and recruitment activities. </li><li>Oversee the Career Closet service, including inventory management, promotion, and coordination of student access. </li><li>Attend and contribute to weekly professional staff meetings to align front desk and employer engagement efforts with career services initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Must be a graduate student applying/enrolled at the Ohio University Athens campus.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications Department Career Services Pay Rate</p> <p>$13,500 stipend (plus potential tuition waiver)</p> <p>Posting Open Date 03/03/2025 Posting End Date 04/15/2025 Job Category Student Hourly Planning Unit Vice President for Student Affairs Work Schedule</p> <p>Graduate Assistants are expected to work a total of 300 hours over the course of the semester. This time period will begin two weeks prior to the start of the fall semester and conclude at the end of the spring semester. This averages out to approximately 20 hours per week.
