As an entry level engineer, you'll have the chance to perform geotechnical engineering design and analysis of foundation systems, retaining structures and slopes for transportation infrastructure projects for both public and private clients. Your engineering skills will be developed with design and analysis of shallow and deep foundations including piles and drilled shafts, retaining walls and support of excavation systems.</p> <p>You'll also inspect geotechnical exploratory and construction related activities and specifically, develop as well as perform oversight of subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs.</p> <p>You'll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business. By joining Jacobs, you'll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other.</p> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering </li><li>Working knowledge of soil mechanics theory and laboratory testing techniques. </li><li>Engineer-In-Training certificate. </li><li>Master of Science in Civil Engineering beneficial but not required. </li><li>Willingness and flexibility to travel for work. </li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Computer skills including CADD, Microsoft Office. </li><li>Driver's license and reliable vehicle will be required. </li></ul> <p>0 - 2 years' design experience in a consulting/contracting environment</p> <p>Ideally, you'll also have:</p> <ul> <li>At least a 3.0 GPA </li><li>MS degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering </li><li>Previous internship in geotechnical evaluations, soil and rock classification, design analysis of foundation and ground retention systems </li><li>Familiarity with geotechnical analysis programs (e.g Ensoft APile, LPile and Group, GeoStudio Slope/Rocscience SLIDE, GRLWeap, DeepEx, Bentley gINT/Openground, and AutoCAD) </li><li>Python programming and application of AI and ML in civil engineering applications would be an added advantage. </li><li>Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future </li></ul> <p>This position will be open for at least 3 days.</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Minimum</p> <p>80,000.00</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Upper</p> <p>100,000.00</p> <p>Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
