<p>Perma-Pipe in Lebanon, TN is hiring a Production Foreman/Supervisor - Fabrication Team Member!</p> <p>We're looking for a dependable and motivated Production Foreman/Supervisor - Fabrication to join our team The Production Foreman/Supervisor - Fabrication is responsible for the direct supervision of 25-30 employees within the fabrication production area. This position ensures that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with customer specifications, company standards, and ISO quality requirements. The Supervisor is accountable for: 1) The safety and behavior of all employees under their supervision, and 2) The safety, organization, and efficiency of the workspaces they manage.</p> <p>Safety Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Promoting the message that Safety, Quality, and Production are equally important in every task performed. </li><li>Conducting scheduled safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments (HLA/JSA) and implementing corrective actions. </li><li>Training employees on hazard recognition and safe work practices. </li><li>Reporting and investigating all injuries, incidents, and near misses; ensuring timely corrective actions are implemented. </li><li>Reinforcing a 'Safety First' mindset, where employees take ownership for their own safety and that of others. </li><li>Encouraging proactive reporting through the Safety Observation Card system and participation in toolbox talks and safety meetings. </li><li>Recognizing and rewarding employees who actively contribute to eliminating potential hazards. </li></ul> <p>Supervision and Production Management</p> <ul> <li>Provide hands-on leadership and daily direction to fabrication team members. </li><li>Train operators on equipment, processes, and quality expectations. </li><li>Ensure efficient flow of work through the department, maintaining productivity and schedule adherence. </li><li>Plan and assign work, monitor progress, and make real-time adjustments to meet production goals. </li><li>Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are properly used, maintained, and controlled. </li><li>Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Safety departments to resolve production issues. </li><li>Prepare and maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and in-process work. </li><li>Plan and approve overtime as necessary, in coordination with the Production Manager. </li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives and 6-S methodology within the work area. </li></ul> <p>Performance Metrics</p> <ul> <li>Safety performance and proactive participation </li><li>Schedule attainment </li><li>Product quality </li><li>Labor efficiency </li><li>Employee attendance, morale, and turnover </li><li>Compliance with 6-S and continuous improvement objectives </li></ul> <p>Additional Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Participate in new product or process design reviews. </li><li>Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments. </li><li>Actively support ISO and internal audit processes. </li><li>Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Production Manager. </li></ul>
