Tepa Companies is an equal-opportunity employer and encourages diversity in the workforce.</p> <p>LOCATION: Remote</p> <p>ABOUT THE JOB</p> <p>The Tepa Companies are seeking a Senior Project Accountant (PACT) that will set up new projects in Unanet ERP, maintaining budgets, monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances between billing/revenue, investigating variances between budget/cost, and entering client billings. You will also be responsible for closing out projects; making sure revenue is 100% earned, budgets are trued up to equal cost, reconciling AR, and assisting employees with any Unanet issues. You will own more complex projects, mentor junior staff, and assist Lead Project Accountants/Project Accounting Manager as needed.</p> <p>Job Functions:</p> <p>Unanet</p> <ul> <li> <p>Sets up new Direct projects</p> </li><li> <p>Enters MODs and corresponding budget updates</p> </li><li> <p>Create and monitor client billings and payments</p> </li><li> <p>Creates new GL accounts, pay types, labor groups, labor categories, and locations</p> </li><li> <p>True up budgets at year-end using 'Actual' rates vs 'Target' rates</p> </li><li> <p>Closes out projects</p> </li><li> <p>True up the budget to equal cost/revenue</p> </li><li> <p>True up revenue to equal value (100% earned)</p> </li><li> <p>Reconciles Billing and Revenue</p> </li><li> <p>Reconciles AR - Billed and Receivables</p> </li><li> <p>Analyzes monthly reports for any billing/revenue variances</p> </li><li> <p>Analyzes monthly reports for any budget/cost variances</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as required to support the Accounting Department</p> </li></ul> <p>WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (experience considered in lieu of degree) </li><li>5+ years of project controls/accounting experience in Engineering/Construction or a related field </li><li>10-key by touch </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Strong organizational skills; must be detail-oriented </li><li>Ability to multitask </li><li>Open to change and willing to learn new skills </li><li>Ability to follow up on pending issues </li><li>Ability to meet deadlines </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer Veteran</p>
