In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.</p> <p>What you will do in this role:</p> <ul> <li>Assesses patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. </li><li>Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. </li><li>Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively. </li><li>Manages the quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery. </li><li>Manages the continuation of care by serving as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems who coordinate ongoing care needs for specialized patient groups. </li></ul> <p>What qualifications you will need:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.</p> </li><li> <p>Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) required.</p> </li><li> <p>Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) required within 30 days of hire/transfer.</p> </li><li> <p>Level 2 Fingerprinting required upon hire.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills</p> </li></ul> <p>For over 40 years, HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital has been providing comprehensive healthcare services.
