<p>Controls Technician</p> <p>The Controls Technician's primary responsibility is to implement and maintain the controls hardware, instrumentation, and electrical equipment at Redwood Materials.</p> <p>Responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and automated manufacturing equipment. </li><li>Fabricate and perform upgrades and repairs to electrical control panels. </li><li>Field wire instrumentation and motor controls. </li><li>Perform and document maintenance calibrations, installations, fault diagnosis, repair of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems. </li><li>Performs troubleshooting on all instrument systems and process control using P&ID and electrical schematics. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 4+ years' hands-on experience working in an automated manufacturing environment; fabricating and wiring control panels and troubleshooting control systems and instrumentation. </li><li>Ability to interpret and follow electrical schematics and competency around voltages up to 480V. </li><li>Troubleshooting, and a knowledge of electromechanical systems is a big plus! </li><li>A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place! </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. </li><li>Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards </li><li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Environment, such as office or outdoors. </li><li>Exposures encountered, such as hazardous materials, loud noise, or extreme heat/cold. </li><li>Essential physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, stooping, or typing. </li><li>Indicate if required to work weekends, nights, or be on-call as a regular part of the job. </li><li>Travel requirements. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to safely perform job duties in both office and production environments. </li><li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed. </li><li>Must maintain regular and punctual attendance in alignment with company and regulatory standards. </li><li>Must be able to communicate clearly. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Split work environment between office and the production facility. </li><li>Work may involve extended periods of working in the production facility. </li><li>Ability to work in challenging working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes, while protected by PPE, for extended periods of time. </li><li>May require occasional work weekends or alternate shifts to support production needs as needed. </li></ul>
