This is your next place of employment.</p> <p>Position Summary: Allow your creativity to show through as you prepare meals for seniors at Resthaven. Work with a talented group of cooks that shares your creative style and quality. Provide well balanced meals based on current menu's at each of our locations.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare high-quality meals for residents. </li><li>Proper plating of meals served. </li><li>Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Work with supervisors to create menu changes, resident preference adjustments and special events. </li><li>Promote a great atmosphere in the kitchen while providing superb quality. </li><li>Work collaboratively with employees to create a culture that promotes teamwork. </li><li>Be a positive role model with ability to train prep cooks and dietary aides. </li><li>Take temperatures of hot foods prior to mealtimes and record on production sheets. </li><li>Open or close kitchen. Put food away, date items, label all leftovers as well as lock or unlock refrigerator, freezer and stockroom. </li><li>Follow all proper safety and sanitation guidelines as described by organization and health department standards. </li><li>Maintain a professional and courteous approach with the residents. </li><li>Understand and support Resthaven policies and procedures. </li><li>Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Required Licenses, Registration, and/or Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to obtain Serve Safe Certification. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Potential for sudden extreme changes in temperature.
