You will be a leader on the Quality Engineering team, whose primary goal is continually improving the quality of the products that Disney is known for while decreasing time-to-market and enabling innovation. This role makes you a stakeholder in every digital property developed and released by the DEEP&Technology group, as well as the platforms and enterprise applications that power them.</p> <p>As an experienced senior software engineer who has passion to drive quality and productivity into world-class applications and services, you will be an integral part of a small group of talented and driven software engineers dedicated to building test automation, tools, reports, and services that enable product engineering teams to deliver all Disney digital applications with the quality and reliability expected by our guests.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Developing and supporting test automation frameworks, execution environments, build systems, and reporting tools</p> </li><li> <p>Contributing to the development and maintenance of the architecture for frameworks, execution environments, build systems and tooling used across multiple products</p> </li><li> <p>Independently break large stories until into smaller tasks based on stakeholder requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Designs solutions to and develop architecture for a new project feature, with occasional guidance from more senior engineers</p> </li><li> <p>Maintaining documentation meant for end user consumption as well as project contributor documentation</p> </li><li> <p>Support and mentor developers and manual testers through code reviews, knowledge-sharing, and technical leadership</p> </li><li> <p>Investigating and resolving any framework, tool or execution of environmental issues affecting our services</p> </li><li> <p>Becoming a core member of our Productivity Engineering team, helping others increase productivity through innovation, and championing the core value of Disney Quality</p> </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a software development Engineer in Test (SDET) occupation, including automated testing of front end and backend services using a structured programming language.</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in object-oriented design and expertise with one of the following programming languages: Node/JavaScript, Java, Python</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with test automation and unit testing frameworks</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent problem-solving skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent collaboration skills and ability to use standard software development lifecycle (SDLC) tools such as Jira and Confluence, and version control systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience leading one to two teams in technical solutioning</p> </li><li> <p>Strong verbal and written communication skills. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
