<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Fulfills the mission of Norwich University by overseeing the sales and marketing for Kreitzberg Arena.</p> <p>This is a 40 hour per week and 43 weeks per year .833 FTE position.</p> <p>Salary: $39,500/year or more depending on experience.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Oversees and administers the Sales and Marketing at Kreitzberg Arena; to include building, board, and ice advertising sales.</p> </li><li> <p>Invoices advertisers and ensuring payments are received in a timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees event promotions and collaborates with sponsors and athletics.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages online and in-person box-office ticket sales and ticket-window operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains sales and effective Communications with Season Ticket Holders.</p> </li><li> <p>Publishes the season ticket waiting list.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates effectively with Arena Concession contractors.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures equipment is fully operational and assists with facilitation of game-day operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with the Arena Operations Manager for the arena rental schedule ensuring maximum use of ice.</p> </li><li> <p>Attends all Norwich Varsity Hockey games.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides protocol for games in collaboration with Rink Staff, Coaches, and Athletics.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares and monitors the budget and prepares financial reports as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Pays invoices and reconciles credit card transactions.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for all cash management and cash security at arena.</p> </li><li> <p>Makes deposits within required timeframe.</p> </li><li> <p>Reconciles ticket sales for each game within the required timeframe.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains effective and ongoing communications with head hockey coaches and athletics.</p> </li><li> <p>Works with Student Life to increase student interactions and attendance at the arena.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees seasonal arena staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with established departmental practices and procedures and ensures employees do the same.</p> </li></ul> <p>Other Functions</p> <ul> <li>Assesses the performance of direct reports and provides frequent feedback to optimize their performance. </li><li>Maintains confidentiality of sensitive or private information. </li><li>Communicates with employees, students, and others in a respectful and clear manner. </li><li>Serves on University committees, councils, workgroups, or other designated bodies as assigned. </li><li>Achieves, maintains proficiency in, and utilizes computers, telephones, and other job-related equipment, including related systems and software. </li><li>Speaks, reads, and writes in English. </li><li>Communicates by telephone, email, letter, in person, or other means or device. </li><li>Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree. A combination of coursework and or work experience may substitute degree. </li><li>1 year of sales and marketing experience preferred, or equivalent sales and customer service background. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook) </li><li>Able to sit, squat, reach, push, pull, and manipulate related equipment; lift 50 pounds; travel outdoors to various parts of the campus </li><li>Works evening and weekend hours </li><li>Travel as needed </li></ul> <p>Environmental Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Indoor work at a computer workstation and in an ice hockey arena. </li><li>Moderate to high level of exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, and temperature changes. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Norwich University is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing a positive education and work environment that recognizes and respects the dignity of all students, faculty and staff.
