<p>At The Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center (ADC), we are committed to delivering exceptional care with compassion and professionalism. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team and contribute to the highest standards of clinical excellence.</p> <p>We currently offer a highly competitive salary, excellent employee benefits and a HIRING BONUS of $5000! </p> <p>The ADC is a well-established agency in Prince William County, VA. We provide safety and security for our staff and the individuals in our care while protecting the residents of Prince William County. This position will involve direct contact with inmates housed at the facility.</p> <p>ABOUT THIS ROLE:</p> <p>As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and supervising nursing staff, ensuring efficient work schedules, and providing patient care. You will support and mentor lower-level nursing staff while delivering critical hands-on care and directly impacting patient outcomes and staff performance in our facility.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Coordinate, assign, and monitor the work schedules and assignments of nursing staff to ensure optimal coverage and patient care.</p> </li><li> <p>Assess staffing needs and provide direct supervision and support to lower-level staff as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Deliver patient care, including medication administration, treatment implementation, vital sign monitoring, physical therapy assistance, and execution of medical procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct comprehensive mental and physical patient assessments through interviews and diagnostic tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including healthcare plans, treatments, and case histories; ensure compliance with all protocols and reporting requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, medication management, and counseling.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide prompt emergency interventions related to patient health needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform additional duties as necessary to support the healthcare team and facility operations.</p> </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: </p> <p>High School diploma or G.E.D. plus a degree or diploma from a state approved professional nursing program and 2 years of related experience.</p> <p>SPECIAL REQUIRMENTS: </p> <p>Registered Nurse License, CPR/First Aid Certification. Must pass local, state and federal background checks, have a valid driver's license, and pass a pre-employment medical assessment.</p> <p>KNOWLEDGE:</p> <p> Supervisory principles;</p> <p> Customer service principles;</p> <p> Nursing principles and practices;</p> <p> Medication protocols;</p> <p> Modern office procedures and equipment;</p> <p> Recordkeeping principles;</p> <p> Computers and related software applications.</p> <p> </p> <p>SKILLS:</p> <p> Monitoring and evaluating employees;</p> <p> Delegating and assigning work;</p> <p> Providing healthcare services;</p> <p> Preparing and maintaining patient records and information;</p> <p> Assisting with physical therapy;</p> <p> Performing data entry;</p> <p> Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.</p> <p>PREFERRED SKILLS: </p> <p> The successful candidate will have knowledge of supervisory and customer service principles, as well as be familiar with medical terminology and nursing principles.</p> <p>SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>10 HOUR NIGHT SHIFT (6:00pm-4:00am, 8:15pm-6:15am) </p> <p>FLSA: </p> <p> Exempt</p> <p> </p> <p>HIRING RANGE: </p> <p>$90,000.00 - $107,000.00</p> <ul> <li>Starting annual salary is based on verified related work experience and specified certifications. Please submit resume with application* </li></ul> <p>INCENTIVES:</p> <p>$5000.00 Hiring Bonus</p> <p>Tuition Reimbursement Policy</p> <p>Parental and Medical Leave (PML) - up to 6 weeks of paid leave for employees who qualify under FMLA (Family & Medical Leave)</p> <p>Full time positions with Prince William County Government qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness</p> <ul> <li>Hiring bonus will be paid out in two (2) equal installments. Fifty percent (50%) of the incentive will be paid after ninety (90) days of employment and fifty percent (50%) will be paid following the completion of the 12-month probationary period.
