<p>Amsted Rail location in Pittsburgh, PA are seeking an Engineering Intern or Co-op for this</p> <p>summer starting in May 2025. This unique opportunity requires an innovative, self-starting individual to apply</p> <p>innovation, creativity and vision to assist in developing our product lines. The position involves specifying product</p> <p>performance requirements, developing and analyzing highly engineered products, and establishing requirements for</p> <p>purchasing, manufacturing, testing and application of finished products.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Product Development Engineering team with design, analysis and simulation of railcar </li></ul> <p>components and systems using CAD and CAE tools</p> <ul> <li>Perform experiments and tests on railcar component prototypes and samples </li><li>Collect, process and interpret data from tests and simulations using statistical and graphical methods </li><li>Prepare technical reports and presentations on results and findings </li><li>Collaborate with other Interns, Engineers and Managers on cross-functional teams and initiatives </li><li>Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards and regulations in all activities </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Working toward a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial or Electrical Engineering </li><li>Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Willingness to learn and apply new technologies and tools </li><li>Ability to occasionally travel to visit other sites or manufacturing locations </li><li>Physical: Must have full range of body motion. Certain operations may require repetitive bending, </li></ul> <p>squatting and full arm extension.
