Assists with patient contact lens removal and insertion and instilling eye drops as directed by physician. Assists in orienting and training new ophthalmic technicians.</p> <p>Does this position require Patient Care?</p> <p>Yes</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Confirms demographics takes chief complaints reviews with patient- medical family and past surgical history allergies and current medications. </li><li>Instills eye drops under physicians' direction. </li><li>Instrument sterilization as needed. </li><li>Perform color vision testing. </li><li>Assist clinic in optimizing patient flow, patient management, and patient education. This may include some administrative work and calling patients. </li><li>Accurately record exam notes into patient's electronic health record </li><li>Personable empathetic with patient's needs and concerns. </li><li>Performs accurate refractions. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
