<p>FUNCTION: Ensure the smooth operation of assigned department; create high</p> <p>sales volume area with a pleasant atmosphere, high employee morale, and</p> <p>good customer service.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li>Provides a continuous flow of communication with the Area Merchandiser of </li></ol> <p>assigned department.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Ensures proper presentation of merchandise; including but not limited to </li></ol> <p>ticketing, signing, sizing, and display.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Works with buyers and managers on visual fixtures, merchandise layout, and </li></ol> <p>displays.</p> <ol start="4"> <li> <p>Available to work with buyers and area merchandiser during in store visits.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares the department for receipt and placement of daily merchandise</p> </li></ol> <p>shipments.</p> <ol start="6"> <li> <p>Understand and carry out all company policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Take inventories and maintain unit control records/ reports as requested by</p> </li></ol> <p>management or Buyers.</p> <ol start="8"> <li> <p>Daily fill-ins from under stock or back stock.</p> </li><li> <p>Learn the duties and responsibilities of an Area Merchandiser including</p> </li></ol> <p>merchandising and operations as assigned by the store manager.</p> <ol start="10"> <li> <p>Motivates sales staff to encourage high sales productivity.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures customer service with a smile at all times in their department.</p> </li><li> <p>Promotes the opening of charge accounts and gift card purchase.</p> </li><li> <p>Acts to prevent shoplifting and internal shrinkage. Ability to organize and interpret information.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB: The physical demands listed are representative of</p> <p>those that must be met to successfully perform the job: Required to stand, walk,</p> <p>talk, or hear, use hands, and have ability to reach overhead. Regular lifting or</p> <p>moving of up to 25lbs, possible up to 50lbs. Requires bending, stooping, and</p> <p>ability to climb stairs.
