The Civil/Structural Engineer will collaborate with a team of engineers and technical staff to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the design and structural analysis of steel structures and concrete foundations. </li><li>Prepare calculations, drawings, and reports under the guidance of experienced engineers. </li><li>Collect, review, interpret, and integrate design requirements from customers, suppliers, and the parent company. </li><li>Prepare and review engineering technical requirements to support overall project proposals and bid strategies. </li><li>Review customer specifications and prepare technical clarifications and deviations. </li><li>Prepare and review budgets, bids, technical requirements, and commercial requirements. </li><li>Plan and review deliverable schedules, including project documentation and equipment. </li><li>Work with suppliers to develop budgets and pricing estimates. </li><li>Ensure arrangement and foundation interface information meets requirements. </li><li>Interface with internal and external teams to ensure design interface information for structural commodities is accurate and properly accounted for. </li><li>Establish corrective actions to reduce nonconformances and improve project outcomes. </li><li>Carry out other responsibilities as assigned to meet evolving project and organizational needs. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering is required. </li><li>Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is preferred. </li><li>Familiarity with ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318. </li><li>Experience with Earthquake Engineering concepts and tools such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD. </li><li>Proficiency in structural analysis and design of steel structures and concrete foundations. </li><li>Ability to generate structural reports. </li><li>Experience in industries such as Power, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and Petrochemical. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with tools like Strudl and STAAD. </li><li>Experience in gas turbine and steam turbine power plants. </li><li>Experience in civil engineering and structural steel design. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment is based in the North American headquarters for Plant Engineering, located in Lake Mary. This is a multi-disciplinary office that includes Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Controls, and project management teams. The office hosts roughly 100+ professionals.
