No VP Area President Department 00842 - Rice-Eccles Stadium Location Campus City Salt Lake City, UT Type of Recruitment External Posting Pay Rate Range $19.00 - $22.00 DOE Close Date 06/24/2026 Priority Review Date (Note - Posting may close at any time) Job Summary</p> <p>Temporary Beer Servers will support concessions operations at Rice Eccles Stadium and Jon M Huntsman Center during concerts and special events. This position is responsible for providing high-quality service to guests in a fast-paced environment while adhering to all applicable local laws and university policies regarding alcohol sales and service.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with state laws, university policies, and venue regulations. </li><li>Verify customer age and identification in accordance with state alcohol laws. </li><li>Process payments efficiently using a point-of-sale (POS) system. </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized service area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. </li><li>Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines, recognizing signs of overconsumption and refusing service when necessary. </li><li>Provide friendly, professional customer service, ensuring a positive guest experience. </li><li>Work efficiently in a high-volume setting, handling large crowds and long lines. </li><li>Assist with setup, stocking, and closing duties as needed. </li><li>Comply with all workplace safety policies and stadium event protocols. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 21 years of age. </li><li>Valid alcohol server certification/license (as required by state law). </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an emphasis on customer service. </li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. </li><li>Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as scheduled per event needs. </li><li>Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in food & beverage service, bartending, or stadium/event concessions preferred. </li><li>Experience working in a stadium, arena, or large event venue. </li><li>Knowledge of state liquor laws and responsible alcohol service. </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. </li><li>Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures. </li></ul> <p>Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.</p> <p>Preferences Special Instructions Summary Additional Information</p> <p>The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems ("URS").
