Serves as a clinical resource and mentor to other school health staff, ensuring adherence to public health guidelines and best practices. Collaborates closely with educators, families, and community partners to create a safe, healthy learning environment that supports academic success and student well-being.</p> <ol> <li> <p>The writing of Independent Health Plans and Emergency Care Plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordination of a weekly Pediatric Clinic with a pediatrician.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in ongoing trainings for school and residential staff, including child-specific health training.  </p> </li><li> <p>Full duties as a Registered Nurse in a school setting.</p> </li></ol> <p>Position-Specific Details:</p> <p>Appointment Type: A temporary Classified WAE. Incumbents in these positions may not work more than 1,245 hours or 1 year, whichever comes first. This is a PART-TIME position, working an average of 24-30 hours per week. The employee will ONLY be paid for ACTUAL HOURS WORKED.</p> <p>Location: Student Health Center as the Louisiana Special School District.</p> <p>Work Schedule: The work schedule will vary depending on the needs of the agency.
