<p>We are seeking a highly technical, data-driven Product Manager to lead the evolution of our Payment Routing, Intelligence Layer, and Platform Integration capabilities. This role focuses on building the smart infrastructure that powers routing logic, processor selection, failover flows, transaction optimization, and the foundational integration layer that connects to our payment's ecosystem.</p> <p>You will partner closely with Engineering, Payments, Risk, Fraud, Data Science, and Compliance to deliver a platform that maximizes payment success rates, reduces cost, expands reach, and ensures resilience at scale.</p> <p>This is a critical IC role within the Payments Product team focused on deep platform-level capabilities, not just UI.</p> <p>Product Execution & Platform Ownership</p> <ul> <li>End-to-end ownership of the Payment Routing Engine and Intelligence Layer </li><li>Platform integration layer capabilities (API orchestration, connector framework, abstraction layers) </li><li>Routing logic based on cost, performance, user attributes, payment type, geography, and risk signals </li><li>Realtime failover and fallback capabilities to drive guaranteed payment completion </li><li>Partnering with Engineering to deliver a scalable, resilient, high availability payments platform </li><li>Ensure Payment Routing Engine and Intelligence Layer is compatible with the architecture and process flows with other areas including vendors, risk, intelligence and fraud </li></ul> <p>Key KPI Influence</p> <p>You will meaningfully impact:</p> <ul> <li>Payment authorization rate </li><li>Cost per transaction / payment optimization </li><li>Latency & processing time </li><li>Payment processor uptime & resilience </li><li>Routing decision accuracy & performance </li><li>Payment failure rate & forced fallback events </li><li>Time-to-integrate new processors </li><li>Operational load for Payments, Risk, and Fraud teams </li><li>External vendors SLA's and performance </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Own day-to-day product delivery for routing logic, processor integrations, and intelligence algorithms</p> </li><li> <p>Define the roadmap for the integration layer, routing engine, and optimization capabilities</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with Engineering on system design, architecture trade-offs, and API requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with Data Science to incorporate machine learning, scoring, or signal-based routing</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct deep analysis on authorization declines, routing failures, and regional optimization gaps</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate new payment processors, wallets, and banking partners for integration and remain an expert in the payments industry</p> </li><li> <p>Develop frameworks for routing experiments and multivariate routing logic</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance and risk signals are embedded into routing and decision flows</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with internal teams to continuously refine routing rules, fallback paths, and error handling</p> </li><li> <p>Influence the platform strategy to enable scalability, global expansion, and modular payment integrations</p> </li><li> <p>Own the prioritization framework and process to balance business, engineering and stakeholder requirements</p> </li><li> <p>4-6+ years in Product Management with strong experience in payments, fintech, platform infrastructure, or API products</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience with payment processors, routing logic, or backend payment platforms</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with API-driven integrations, service-oriented architectures, or platform engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with Engineering, Data Science, and Payments Operations</p> </li><li> <p>Background in optimizing transactional systems or high-volume distributed systems a plus</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong technical fluency - able to collaborate deeply with architects and engineers </li><li>Highly analytical with expertise in funnel metrics, performance optimization, and root-cause analysis </li><li>Excellent communication skills capable of translating technical concepts into business impact </li><li>Comfortable making trade-offs between latency, cost, reliability, and complexity </li><li>Owned and delivered on product roadmap </li><li>Strong stakeholder management across Payments, Fraud, Risk, and Compliance </li><li>Customer-obsessed with a passion for reliability and seamless payment experiences </li></ul> <p>The salary range for this position is $XXX,XXX - $XXX,XXX USD, which is dependent on a several factors including relevant experience, geography, business needs and market demand.
