<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>This position's responsibilities is to remove paint, roughing surfaces, removing oil film, and other particles from parts and materials.</p> <p>Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Use of Protective Sandblasting Suit with breathing apparatus is required in blasting area. </li><li>Utilize crane to load and unload parts from blasting area. </li><li>Use tugger to manipulate heavy cart loads. </li><li>Proficient in use of profilometer to measure blast profile. </li><li>Select prioritization from supervisors' instructions to determine which items to be blasted. </li><li>Inspect working equipment and replace any warn parts. </li><li>Visually inspect parts that have been blasted to ensure quality of work. </li><li>Ability to recognize nonconforming/defective products. </li><li>Rework parts that are returned. </li></ul> <p>Maintain a clean and orderly work area.</p> <p>Essential Qualifications / Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. </li><li>Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance, any parts weighing over 50lbs requires a team lift. </li><li>Must have basic blueprint reading skills to interpret engineering drawings and specifications necessary to perform job. </li><li>Must have basic math skills including addition / subtraction of fractions and decimal values for determining material, manufacturing, and inspection requirements. </li><li>Must have ability to read measuring instruments not limited to but including tape measure, mil. Thickness gage, and fluid measuring units, and callipers. </li><li>Must have good hand-eye coordination, grip strength and dexterity to perform paint and paint preparation using hand and power equipment at established production standards. </li><li>Must have basic reading / writing ability to read and interpret manufacturing orders and material requirements and to report production. </li></ul> <p>Must be able to stand for 6-8 hours per day.</p> <p>EOE/Women/Minorities/Veterans/Disabled</p>
