<p>B&W Diamond Power is looking to hire a working Field Service Engineer to provide best in industry expertise and support on a broad range of B&W Diamond Power utility, industrial, and environmental products to our customers.</p> <p>Field Service Engineer (FSE) will report through B&W's Diamond Power Facility located in Lancaster, OH and assist with site troubleshooting, overseeing installation and repairs, turnkey services, and general customer support with a primary focus on the Diamond Power sootblower product line.</p> <p>This position requires extensive airline and automobile travel (~75%).</p> <p>Additional duties of the Field Service engineers include:</p> <ul> <li>Collecting and evaluating field data. Troubleshooting system errors and working with site mechanics to perform repairs. </li><li>Working with customers, account executives, vendors and sublet vendors with assistance and guidance from District Engineer, senior engineers, or account managers toward developing both service projects and sales opportunities. </li><li>Preparing technical reports including service and special reports. </li><li>Working as part of commissioning teams on project startups of Diamond Power Products. </li><li>Performing site activities including: OEM inspections, equipment trainings, condition assessments, operation evaluations, troubleshooting, and technical advising & consulting. </li><li>Providing construction technical support and outage management. </li></ul> <p>Field Service is a fast paced, mechanical based job that provides great variety in a person's workload. FSE will work closely with senior engineers and the District Engineer during a training phase. Service work provides a challenging and rewarding job and steep learning curve in which the engineer develops practical knowledge of power plants and all aspects of B&W products.</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, ETM, Industrial and Systems, or similar Engineering technology or related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience. </li><li>Demonstrated problem-solving skills, and ability to work alone or lead a group of workers </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills </li><li>Mechanical based job, controls & electrical experience is a plus. </li><li>Ability and desire to travel </li></ul>
