Then the South Carolina Department of Social Services has the right job opportunity for you.</p> <p>Special Notice: This is a REPOST -- Previous applicants need not re-apply for this position.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>The Child Welfare Services Case Worker Assistant provides services to remedy abuse, neglect and exploitations of self neglect of adults or children unable to protect themselves. Case Worker Assistant will assist Case Worker I with providing casework services. Working hours will be 8:30am - 5:00pm. </li><li>Provide or arranges transportation to resources in the community as part of the social service side plan. </li><li>Participate as a member of professional team to plan services clients. </li><li>Make requests for educational, medical, dental, law enforcement, etc. records. </li><li>Make referrals to service providers, family group conferencing,, Seneca Search, etc. </li><li>Assist with the completion of various packets within the agency. </li><li>Assist with the transportation of children. </li><li>Assist with child and family visitation and teach appropriate parenting and household management skills. </li><li>Assist with other administrative support functions to include drafting correspondences, copying, faxing, email, etc. </li><li>Perform Red Cross Shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/ services as directed. </li><li>Perform other relevant duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>A High School Diploma and three (3) years work experience in clerical, administration, social work, correctional, business administration or general business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>A college degree may be substituted for years of experience.</p> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>This application for employment with the SC Department of Social Services must be completed in its entirety.
