Renewal of appointment is dependent on satisfactory performance, program needs, availability of funds.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide technical support for a research project that deals with gene expression during papaya fruit ripening and it modification by ethylene inhibitors. </li><li>Confirmation of conclusions using qPCR is expected. </li><li>Analyze the data with minimal supervision, make recommendations to achieve project objectives, and prepare technical reports, manuscripts and presentations on the results. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Enrollment in an advance degree program at UHM. </li><li>Applicant should have a background in plant physiology, or plant biology.
