<p>We are currently hiring for full-time Teacher Assistants to start mid-August. Our childcare program operates Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm.</p> <p>What You'll Be Doing</p> <p>You will promote the optimal development and well-being of children through family-centered childcare and assist in the planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate programs which emphasize learning through play.</p> <p>Your Main Priorities</p> <p>While additional responsibilities are likely to arise on the job, you will primarily:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Teacher in the classroom. </li><li>Demonstrate professional manners through promptness, proper notification of tardiness or absence, maintaining a professional appearance and attitude, and proper respect for the program and agency. </li><li>Maintain a safe, sanitary, stimulating, and inviting environment. </li><li>Possess the skills necessary to manage an Early Childhood classroom, while always providing </li><li>appropriate supervision of children. </li><li>Be an integral part of curriculum planning; assists in the implementation of the monthly curriculum. </li><li>Develop plans which meet the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of each child. </li><li>Assist in the implementation of daily activities based on the children's individual assessments. </li><li>Oversee children's activities interacting directly with groups and individuals. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Experience in a Childcare setting preferred. </li><li>Strong organizational, critical thinking and time-management skills. </li><li>Basic computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. </li><li>Ability to communicate and effectively interact with a diverse population. </li><li>Collaboration and teamwork. </li><li>The ideal candidate will be required to meet all background checks and medical clearances required for the position. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Direct Service Staff:</p> <p>This position requires time sitting, standing, walking, carrying and lifting up to 25lbs.
