The teacher will foster a learning environment that encourages student growth in problem-solving, critical thinking, and mathematical fluency, with an emphasis on preparing students for STAAR success and post-secondary readiness.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education/Certification:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university</p> </li><li> <p>Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Mathematics (Grades 7-12 or 4-8) or ability to obtain certification</p> </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities and Duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Plan, deliver, and assess math instruction for assigned grade levels (grades 7-12 based on campus needs)</p> </li><li> <p>Design and implement lessons aligned with TEKS and campus/district pacing guides</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technology to differentiate learning</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare students for the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR)</p> </li><li> <p>Use formative and summative assessment data to adjust instruction</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and campus data meetings</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with colleagues to support campus goals and student success</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment</p> </li><li> <p>Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the community</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate records of student grades, attendance, and progress</p> </li><li> <p>Support students' participation in UIL academic events or tutoring when applicable</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to all district policies and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned by campus administration?</p> </li></ul> <p>Salary:</p> <p>Based on Electra ISD salary schedule, dependent on experience and certification</p> <p>Questions:</p> <p>If you have any questions, please contact Jamie West (jamie.west@electraisd.net).</p>
