<p>As a Rigging Construction Tool Install Technician at Tesla, you will play a key role in safely and efficiently installing tools and equipment for new construction and facility upgrades at the Sparks Gigafactory and nearby sites. This hands-on role involves rigging, equipment setting, material handling, and anchoring, often requiring close coordination with other trades. You'll work in active construction zones indoors and outdoors with a strong focus on safety, physical readiness, and adaptability.</p> <ul> <li>Perform all aspects of rigging support, including load rigging, signal-person duties, critical lift setup, and coordinating mobile equipment </li><li>Collaborate with Tool Install Foremen and Superintendents on equipment setting, anchoring, relocation, and dismantling tasks </li><li>Assist with loading and offloading heavy tools using forklifts, lifts, hoists, and rigging gear such as chains, slings, and shackles </li><li>Read and interpret rigging plans, layout drawings, and manufacturer guidelines to ensure safe and accurate installations </li><li>Conduct daily safety inspections, complete pre-task risk assessments (PTPs), and work safely at heights using fall protection systems </li><li>Support general construction tasks including material handling, anchoring, line work, and job site cleanup </li><li>Communicate effectively across teams, maintain clean work areas, provide feedback, and actively participate in safety briefings </li><li>3+ years of construction experience with a strong background in rigging, tool installation, equipment setting, or industrial construction </li><li>Skilled in using rigging hardware, reading load charts, signaling for hoists, and performing basic lift planning </li><li>Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment in active job site environments </li><li>Comfortable working at heights up to 80 ft., in confined spaces, and performing physically demanding tasks including lifting 50+ lbs. </li><li>Knowledgeable in job site safety practices including hazard assessments, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and fall protection systems </li><li>Able to read construction drawings and rigging plans with an understanding of structural alignment principles </li><li>Strong communicator and team player with flexibility to work rotating shifts, extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed </li></ul>
