<p>Position Information</p> <p>Position Information (Default Section)</p> <p>EEO Statement</p> <p>Wright State University is an equal opportunity employer.</p> <p>Faculty Rank or Job Title Adjunct - Business Law (Fall 2025 - Summer 2026) Job Category: Faculty/Instructional Department School of Supply Chain Management, Marketing and Management EEO number: 25A345 Position FTE</p> <p>Part Time</p> <p>Minimum Annual or Hourly Rate Negotiable Salary Band: NA Job Summary/Basic Function:</p> <p>WSU's Raj Soin College of Business, School of Supply Chain Management, Marketing and Management is accepting applications for adjunct teaching positions for the 2025-2026 academic year. The department of Management is seeking an adjunct to teach Law 4300 - Legal Aspects of the Workplace, and/or MBA 5400-90 - Survey of Business Law. Primary topics include: U.S. legal system as it relates to business, ethics in business, basics of contract law, the uniform commercial code, crimes, torts, intellectual property, the internet and how they relate to business, and alternate dispute resolution.t</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>A Juris Doctor (JD) degree. </li><li>Prior experience teaching business law (or related field). </li><li>Applicant must possess an academic degree one level above the level at which they will teach, except in programs for terminal degrees or when equivalent experience is established. In terminal degree programs, adjunct faculty must possess the same level of degree. </li><li>If teaching outside field of their advanced degree, adjuncts must have completed at least 18 graduate level credit hours of instruction in the field where they teach. </li><li>At least 1 year professional or teaching experience. </li><li>Current work activities must establish that the adjunct instructor is a practitioner in their teaching field consistent the requirements of AACSB qualifications for business faculty. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Teaching experience preferred. </li><li>Professional certifications and other professional development experience will be preferred; prior teaching experience at AACSB accredited business school. </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions and percent of time:</p> <p>Teaching. 100%</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and teach assigned courses at assigned class meetings, based on course catalog description and approved course outline. </li><li>Preparation of course syllabus. </li><li>Prepare and objectively grade class assignments, participation, and exams within a timely manner, in accordance with SCMM policies. </li><li>Maintain accurate, transparent student records. </li><li>Assist and foster student success through the maintenance of regularly scheduled office hours and timely responses to email inquiries. </li><li>Adhere to all administrative University policies. </li><li>Maintain appropriate professional development to stay current within assigned courses. </li><li>Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics; and </li><li>Other duties as assigned by contract and/or the Raj Soin College of Business. </li></ul> <p>Non-Essential Functions and percent of time: Working Conditions</p> <p>Special contract terms and conditions of employment apply.</p> <p>To preserve the safety and security of the campus community and to maintain the integrity of university operations, it is the policy of Wright State University before making an employment offer conduct various background checks, such as a criminal record, credit history when job related and/or education verifications.
