<p>At Utah Valley University, the Assistant Coordinator - Dean of Students plays a vital role in creating an engaging and supportive campus environment where students can thrive. Working under the guidance of the AVP of Student Development & Well-Being/Dean of Students, this position contributes to impactful projects, programs, and initiatives that connect students to resources, opportunities, and each other. From developing compelling marketing strategies and high-visibility campaigns to coordinating memorable events and presentations, the Assistant Coordinator helps bring the mission of Student Development & Well-Being to life.</p> <p>This role is ideal for a collaborative, creative, and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both strategic planning and hands-on execution. By working closely with campus stakeholders, gathering and presenting data, and representing UVU to campus and community leaders, the Assistant Coordinator supports a culture of belonging, wellness, and student success. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' lives while contributing to UVU's dynamic and student-centered community.</p> <ul> <li>Development, coordination, and implementation of projects centered around specific initiatives related to Student Development & Well-Being. </li><li>Data retrieval, research, reports, and presentations. </li><li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned necessary to the success of the Student Development & Well-Being department, including assistance in executing departmental projects, and coordinating/staffing events. </li></ul> <p>Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate's degree and two years of professional experience in a related discipline or a combination of education and experience totaling four years. </p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Experience working in higher education.Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge in project management, including conception, development, implementation, and evaluation. </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Basic technological skills, including but not limited to word processing, email communications, spreadsheets, etc. </li></ul> <p>Abilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to conduct administrative duties (e.g., schedule events, plan meetings, create agendas, take minutes, general office organization, etc.). </p> </li><li> <p>Ability to successfully interact with faculty and/or staff in a team environment. </p> </li><li> <p>Ability to professionally represent UVU to political, business, and the SDWB team.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work both independently and with an intern cohort. </p> </li><li> <p>Ability to think critically and solve problems. </p> </li><li> <p>Ability to accept and implement feedback. </p> </li><li> <p>Passion for UVU's mission and core values.</p> </li></ul>
