Job Summary Bagging department technicians are responsible for preparing the finished prescription as well as other light warehouse duties. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists by sorting medications Check racks/bins before each delivery departure for missing meds Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. During down times, may assist pharmacy floor for additional support Ensure all medications are scanned into the computer system (Frameworks) and staged correctly for each delivery Ensure all medications are sorted/packed as required inside totes Ensure that all necessary packaging documents are attached to each tote before handing it to the delivery personnel Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPPA Prep for the day, set up delivery totes/stickers Prepare delivery manifests, packing slips and ancillary paperwork (MCRs, TSP notifications etc.) to correspond to appropriate facility Retrieve final reviewed medication baskets/carts from RPh final review stations (including STATs) Scan all medications pending for delivery using Frameworks Scans manifests into system for confirmation of delivery Sort all baskets/carts of final reviewed medications according to facility units, location and delivery times Sorting medications by routes Toting/Bagging medications for delivery Other duties as assigned Overtime, holidays and weekends may be required and/or expected Ability to meet physical demands involving extended periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling and reaching Qualifications Attention to detail Collaboration Skills Communication Decision Making Discretion Performance Management Problem Solving/Analysis Reliability Teamwork Technical Capacity Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently May be necessary to work extended hours as needed May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong problem-solving skills Effective communicator Quick and independent learner We Offer PharmScript offers a robust suite of benefits to support employees and their families.
