<p>We require a experienced engineer with a degree in electronics or a related subject. You must have a hands-on attitude and be ready to solve challenges in a fast-paced environment working as part of a multidisciplinary team.</p> <p>Your will be expected to take the lead in projects, have the ability to identify and solve challenges and split time between these projects, supporting the transition of R&D projects into production and projects targeted at increasing production efficiency. You may also get involved in flight team operations when your work may be tested in flight.</p> <p>If you have the relevant skills and are looking for a position in an exciting industry, you should apply for this role.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Designing, testing and integration of electronics for UAVs including, but not limited to, power, MCU, comms, pcb design and hardware testing. </li><li>Take responsibility for your own projects and providing support to other engineers. </li><li>Troubleshooting of issues that arise during ground/air tests during trials and on the production line. </li><li>Leading or assisting in fault finding for electronics and software components. </li><li>Create and maintain documentation. </li><li>Write engineering reports. </li><li>Collaborate with other departments to de-conflict integration issues. </li><li>Instruct technicians on manufacture and testing procedures. </li><li>Support flight testing and demonstrations in the UK and overseas. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Degree or equivalent in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering or similar. </li><li>Previous work experience within an engineering team. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:</p> <p>Essential</p> <ul> <li>Good broad electronics knowledge, including digital communications, analogue, PSUs, batteries and embedded system design. </li><li>Experience in fault-finding in electronics and/or software systems. </li><li>Experience in either C++ or Python. </li><li>Experience with PCB design software packages. </li></ul> <p>Desirable</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of STM32 products and development. </li><li>Knowledge or past experience with flight controllers. </li><li>Working knowledge of control systems (PID control). </li></ul> <p>Personal</p> <ul> <li>Must have an existing right to work in the UK. </li><li>Ability to commit to occasional national and international travel. </li><li>Good communicator, written and oral skills. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving ability. </li><li>Ability to work well in a team. </li><li>Attention to detail. </li><li>Enthusiasm for their work and self-motivated. </li></ul>
