<p>Description</p> <p>Springfield College invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty position in the Exercise Science Department for the Fall 2025 semester. The courses available are Professional Ethics and Standards, Stress Management, and Management of Health/Fitness Programs. These courses are 3-credit courses. Ethics and Standards and Stress Management will be taught online/asynchronously while Management of Health/Fitness Programs will be taught in-person synchronously as part of theExercise Science Program.</p> <ul> <li>Compensation for adjunct faculty with fewer than 3 years college teaching experience is $2820 for a 3-credit course </li><li>Compensation for adjunct faculty with 3 or more years college teaching experience is $3513 for a 3-credit course. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>AEXS 691: Professional Ethics and Standards (Graduate)</p> <p>Date/Time: Online/Asynchronous</p> <p>Course Description: AEXS 691 is designed to provide students with an overview of ethical issues, implications, and proper ethical decision-making within sport and exercise psychology. In addition to gaining knowledge in these areas, students have the opportunity to become more aware of their own value system as a professional and gain an understanding as to how ethics influence their own professional practice in applied areas within their sport, exercise, or performance-related field.</p> <p>AEXS 677: Stress Management (Graduate)</p> <p>Date/Time: Online/Asynchronous</p> <p>Course Description:This course provides comprehensive and advanced treatise of stress management. The concept of stress, the psychophysiology of stress, the measurement of stress, the relation of stress to mental and physical health and performance, prevention and intervention in stress management, and special topics related to stress are discussed.</p> <p>AEXS 401: Management of Health/Fitness Programs (Undergraduate)</p> <p>Date/Time: T/TH 10:50-12:05</p> <p>Course Description:This course gives students the basic skills necessary to develop and implement an employee health/fitness program. Emphasis is placed on management, facility development, programming, and leadership procedures.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Master's degree required for undergraduate and graduate courses with PhD preferred for graduate courses.</p> <p>This position has been designed as forward facing and will meet face-to-face on the Springfield, MA campus.</p>
