<p>IT Software Asset Management Analyst 3</p> <p>Newport News, VA - primarily work from home; work in office as needed.</p> <p>Contract</p> <p>$35.43-46.59/hr</p> <p>Establishes and implements hardware and software acquisition, protection, maintenance and retention policies, standards and procedures that are aligned with IT standards and strategy. Investigates available hardware and software products; evaluates and recommends products based on user requirements. Coordinates with the procurement function to interview, select and negotiate with hardware and software vendors in order to purchase the appropriate equipment at the lowest cost. Reviews licenses and/or contracts to ensure that hardware and software equipment is covered by the contract and properly documented.</p> <p>Basic Qualifications: IT Software Asset Management Analyst 3</p> <ul> <li>5 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field; 3 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree </li></ul> <p>Requirements: IT Software Asset Management Analyst 3</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field with 5 years of relevant professional experience. 2 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree. </li><li>Expert Knowledge of software licensing terms and conditions and the application of those terms to the demand and usage within a physical and virtual environment. </li><li>Experience with Altiris, SmartTrack, HP Asset Management, SAM Pro, or other IT Asset Management systems </li><li>Understanding of licensing impact on IT Data Center, Server and Cloud Infrastructure, and On-Prem Vmware Virtualization environments. </li><li>Expert knowledge of product use rights for publishers such as Oracle, Microsoft, Adobe, SAP, IBM, etc. </li></ul> <p>Skills: IT Software Asset Management Analyst 3</p> <ul> <li>Advanced Excel, and analytical reporting skills. </li><li>Organized, responsive, and thorough problem solver. </li><li>Ability to function in a dynamic work environment and able to multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision. </li><li>IAITAM or CSAM certification a plus. </li></ul>
