<p>Student Services Representatives are responsible for providing excellent support to BYU-Pathway Worldwide students through a variety of communication mediums.</p> <p>Work Schedule: This position is remote. Remote positions are available for applicants located in Utah or Idaho. Employees are scheduled for specific shifts in coordination with employee availability and staffing needs.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Additional hours may be available and needed during peak service times, such as the beginning of new semesters. Student Service Representatives may sometimes work up to 40 hours based on the employer's discretion.</p> </li><li> <p>To do the work, the following are required for an at-home set-up</p> </li><li> <p>A quiet workplace</p> </li><li> <p>Laptop or computer with a private at-home set up (no Chrome Books)</p> </li><li> <p>1024x768 (SVGA) screen</p> </li><li> <p>4 GB of ram</p> </li><li> <p>Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome are recommended browsers</p> </li><li> <p>Internet Bandwidth</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum: 500 KBps upload speed; 1 MBps download speed (4 Mbps upload; 8 Mbps download)</p> </li><li> <p>Recommended: 1 MBps upload speed; 2 MBps download speed (8 Mbps upload; 16 Mbps download)</p> </li></ul> <p>Please Note: All positions are subject to close without notice.</p> <p>Important: By applying for this position, you are indicating that you are currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, are willing to physically reside and perform the work in Utah or Idaho, and are currently enrolled as a degree seeking student at one of the CES Institutions (Ensign College, BYU-Pathway Worldwide, BYU, BYU-Idaho, or BYU-Hawaii Online).</p> <ul> <li> <p>(50%) Student Interactions: Student Services Representatives assist BYU-Pathway Worldwide students with various needs. This is accomplished by using technical skills for inbound and outbound support. With all these positions, we use mediums of email, phone, and video calls. Employees will use critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills to respond to student inquiries. Having a highly developed ability to verbally communicate in a clear and concise manner is vital. Casework represents a large majority of the employee's responsibilities.</p> </li><li> <p>(25%) Policy Review: Student Service Representatives will stay abreast with policy changes as indicated in the knowledge base. In a rapidly changing environment, it is crucial for them to remain up to date on standard procedures. Employees will be regularly evaluated on performance and how well they follow policies and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>(25%) Administration: Student Service Representatives will participate in special projects and various administrative duties.</p> </li><li> <p>Percentages might change based on academic calendar or team assignment</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Education:</p> <p>Current CES Student at one of the following institutions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ensign College</p> </li><li> <p>BYU-Pathway Worldwide</p> </li><li> <p>BYU</p> </li><li> <p>BYU-Idaho</p> </li><li> <p>BYU-Hawaii (Living in Utah or Idaho)</p> </li><li> <p>High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent or current enrollment in PathwayConnect</p> </li><li> <p>Students on an F-1 or J-1 visa must currently be enrolled at Ensign College</p> </li></ul>
