<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Essential Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Provides first line shift leadership on a day-to-day basis </li><li>Oversees daily operational readiness and ensures that all ambulances are inspected, records and </li></ul> <p>reports any issues, and advises the Director of immediate needs.</p> <ul> <li>Manages transport workflow and assigns crew member resources </li><li>Leads employees through daily tasks and addresses personnel issues as needed </li><li>All other duties as assigned </li><li>Performs ambulance transportation services and provides patient care within their scope of practice </li></ul> <p>in alignment with corresponding licensures or certifications job description (i.e. Paramedic, AEMT,</p> <p>EMT).</p> <ul> <li>Provides quality medical care to patients requiring ambulance transportation </li><li>Ensures the safe and efficient transport of patients in a team setting </li><li>Acts in the event of an emergency to render aid to sick or injured patients </li><li>Assists other team members in completing their required tasks </li><li>Thoroughly and accurately completes all required departmental documentation </li><li>Completes patient care reports for each transport prior to the completion of their shift </li><li>Accurately documents required information for departmental data analysis </li><li>Coordinates with Office Coordinator to ensure required documents (PCS, ABN, EMTALA) are </li></ul> <p>submitted with ePCR submissions</p> <ul> <li>Acts as a department preceptor to onboard new employees </li><li>Serves as a role model for employees joining the department </li><li>Advises new employees on practices, expectations, and departmental standards </li><li>Provides weekly reports on new employee progress during their orientation period </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Highschool/GED</p> </li><li> <p>Role requires Paramedic plus 3 years' experience;</p> </li><li> <p>Previous leadership required</p> </li><li> <p>Kentucky Certified EMT OR Advanced EMT OR Kentucky Paramedic License</p> </li><li> <p>BLS (EMT, AEMT, Paramedic) and ACLS (Paramedic)</p> </li></ul> <p>1 additional year of experience plus AEMT may be substituted for Paramedic</p> <p>2 additional years of experience plus EMT may be substituted for Paramedic</p> <p>If you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!</p> <p>Baptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.</p>
