<p>Essential Duties</p> <ol> <li>Drafts a variety of written materials, including detailed individual prospect briefings and endowed gift agreements, proposals in support of specific University initiatives and internal and external correspondence that conforms to the style and voice of the sender. 2. Coordinates research on individual donors and the history and status of gift commitments as needed by gift officers and other University officials. Ensures the accuracy of gift acknowledgments and all information communicated to donors and prospects. 3. Prepares reports on prospect pools summarizing giving, status, affiliation and other data points, as needed. 4. Assists in the coordination of special events, including dedications, donor recognition events and celebration of special initiatives to ensure timely and successful completion of the proceedings. 5. Designs and produces ad hoc reports based on data extracted from primary databases to support fund raising programs. 6. Oversees stewardship functions to ensure that donors receive ongoing communication regarding the benefits of their gifts to Yale. 7. Supports fundraising directors and gift officers in a range of additional activities related to the University's development effort, as needed. 8. May perform other duties as assigned. </li></ol> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <p>Six years of related work experience, four of them in the same job family at the next lower level and a high school level education; or four years of related work experience and an Associate degree; or little or no work experience and a Bachelor degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of demonstrated experience and education.</p> <p>Background Check Requirements</p> <p>All candidates for employment will be subject to pre-employment background screening for this position, which may include motor vehicle, DOT certification, drug testing and credit checks based on the position description and job requirements. For additional information on the background check requirements and process visit "Learn about background checks" under the Applicant Support Resources section of Careers on the It's Your Yale website.</p> <p>Position Focus:</p> <p>The Coordinator of the Yale Law School Fund is a member of the School's Alumni Engagement and Development (AED) team, reporting to the Director of the Yale Law School Fund. The Coordinator plays a key role in the creation and execution of Yale Law School's annual giving efforts. The incumbent will help to coordinate and arrange print and digital appeals, reunion committee class letters, the Yale Law School Giving Day website and Giving Day materials, the YLS Loyal program materials and mailings, and will be responsible for all electronic marketing for Yale Law School Fund solicitations and stewardship efforts. The Coordinator will attend all reunion committee meetings and assist in supporting volunteers in their reunion fundraising efforts. This is an opportunity to join a critical area of fundraising for a top law school with an engaged alumni base and a strong tradition of philanthropy. As a participant in the public phase of the Yale University campaign, For Humanity, the Coordinator will serve as a catalyst for the growth of YLS' philanthropic constituency and revenue.</p> <p>The Coordinator: Collaborates with the Director to develop and arrange the annual fund marketing strategy and implementation for Yale Law School. Coordinates with vendors and partners to ensure projects, appeals, reports, and presentations are completed according to plan and within deadline. In partnership with the Advancement Services team, the coordinator will be responsible for select reports related to the YLS Loyal and other programs. Supports the management of the Yale Law School reunion volunteers and fundraising efforts by and from those volunteers on behalf of the Yale Law School Fund, in partnership with the YLS Alumni Engagement team. Processes expense reports and reimbursements, and other required financial and budgetary requests. Assists in the execution and staffing of AED events and Alumni Weekend as needed.</p> <p>The Principal Responsibilities listed below are generic in nature.
