As a Senior CAD Technician, you will manage, draft, and design projects, taking ownership from start to finish.</p> <p>What are the core responsibilities for the role?</p> <ul> <li>Draft and design projects for transportation, transit, rail and more </li><li>Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers </li><li>Prepare plans and layouts generated in OpenRoads Designer software </li><li>Produce accurate output with a keen eye for aesthetics </li><li>Manage project data files from various sources </li><li>Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Advanced skills using OpenRoads Designer with Plan Productions tools is a plus </li><li>Experienced in detailing as well as plan and profile, site plans, drainage, grading, utilities (profiles), SWPPP, broadband, rail, transit and associated items </li><li>Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionally </li><li>Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities </li><li>Be a professional, creative, team-focused individual that works well with others in a team environment </li><li>5-10 years' experience utilizing OpenRoads Designer/Microstation </li><li>Associates degree preferred; equivalent experience and training will be considered </li></ul> <p>Why would a candidate want this job?</p> <p>At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
