<p>This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program EDRP, a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.</p> <p>The Gap Provider Primary Care Physician plays a vital role in ensuring uninterrupted, high-quality care across our primary care clinics. This flexible, mobile position supports clinic operations during provider absences, transitions, or periods of increased patient demand. The physician will work collaboratively with clinic teams to deliver comprehensive care, maintain continuity for patients, and uphold the standards of our health system.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver patient-centered primary care services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment. </li><li>Provide coverage across multiple clinic sites within the Milwaukee region and surrounding areas as needed. </li><li>Perform thorough patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans. </li><li>Document all patient interactions accurately and efficiently using the EHR system. </li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes. </li><li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to system-wide clinical protocols. </li><li>Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-management strategies. </li><li>Maintain compliance with organizational policies, state regulations, and professional standards. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm</p> <p>VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
