You will join a multidisciplinary, talented team working on studies that impact future patient diagnoses and treatments. As a Research Coordinator, you will coordinate the compliant implementation and conduct of human subject research projects of high workload and complexity, supporting multiple clinical studies simultaneously by coordinating participant visits, performing protocol-required respiratory testing procedures including Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), and ensuring compliance with Ohio licensure and study requirements. This role will allow respiratory assessments to be completed directly within the department, improving workflow efficiency, reducing scheduling delays, and supporting ongoing research focused on respiratory health, lung disease, and biomarker discovery while ensuring full protocol compliance.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Coordinate the implementation and conduct of research projects ensuring adherence to research protocol requirements which may include maintenance of regulatory documents and binders, data management, IRB submissions and communication of such to the research team.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a liaison between investigators, research personnel, outside study personnel and central research administration offices to assist in protocol interpretation, enrollment and safety questions.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with primary investigators, sponsors and research staff to plan, conduct and evaluate project protocols, including research subject recruitment.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and report project status.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete regulatory documents, data capture and monitoring plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and maintain knowledge of research protocol to coordinate the comprehensive and compliant execution of assigned protocols.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with preparation for audits and response to audits.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain professional relationships, including frequent and open effective communication with internal and external constituents.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with the development of training and educational material for assigned research protocols.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide and document education as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct and document the informed consent process.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist PI with research study design and development of research protocol.</p> </li><li> <p>May assist with research project budget development.</p> </li><li> <p>May perform the duties of a Respiratory Therapist as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program</p> </li><li> <p>Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care</p> </li><li> <p>High School Diploma or GED and five years clinical research or related clinical experience</p> </li><li> <p>OR Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or science field and three years clinical research or related clinical experience</p> </li><li> <p>Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board licensure</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification when appropriate for site</p> </li><li> <p>Within 90 days of hire, must successfully complete certification in Human Subjects Research as required by the Responsible Conduct of Research guidelines adopted by Cleveland Clinic</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in health care or science related field</p> </li><li> <p>Research Experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a computer; Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range.</p> </li><li> <p>Extensive sitting and frequent walking, occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>May have some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.</p> </li><li> <p>May require working irregular hours.</p> </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum Annual Salary: $57,510.00</p> <p>Maximum Annual Salary: $87,697.50</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).</p>
