This is what #LifeAtBNY is all about.</p> <p>We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Equities and Fixed Income Front Office Engineering Lead - Full-Stack Engineer to join our BUY SIDE TRADING BUSINESS as part of CAPITAL MARKETS team. This role is open in Boston, MA and New York, NY.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to manage and drive business expansion through an engineering lens. Working closely with a cross-asset desk as we design, architect, and build a state-of-the-art platform to empower extensive reporting capabilities, research, and real-time analytics, in support of our new global, multi-asset trading organization.</p> <p>In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Partner with Product, Trading, and end clients to analyze, define, challenge, and solution technical trading workflows.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage and mentor a high performing engineering team</p> </li><li> <p>Play a key role in the design, architecture, and implementation of:</p> </li><li> <p>Trading research platform</p> </li><li> <p>Real-time decision support service</p> </li><li> <p>Reporting platform and service</p> </li><li> <p>Build a historical and real-time data management platform for a global, multi-asset trading organization.</p> </li><li> <p>Design and architect API-driven solutions, utilizing open-source resources.</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with extended BNY Controls, Risk and Networking teams to maintain overall architecture and trading compliance</p> </li><li> <p>Drive with an AI first mind-set towards automation and code-refactoring</p> </li><li> <p>Drive system stability and reliability through data quality and automation to mitigate risks associated with trade execution.</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on programming well-designed, testable, secure, and efficient code.</p> </li></ul> <p>To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of either Equities or Fixed Income trading workflows </li><li>Experience working with Execution Management Systems (EMS) and Order Management Systems (OMS). </li><li>FIX protocol/messaging knowledge </li><li>Experience managing a team of highly skilled engineers </li><li>Experience in Python coding. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $116,000 and $240,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.</p> <p>This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.</p>
