<p>First Shift Monday - Thursday 9:30 AM - 8PM</p> <p>$16.00 per hour to start</p> <p>PRIMARY PURPOSE:</p> <p>Distribution Technicians play a pivotal role towards the success of our mission; to save and enhance</p> <p>lives. Every year, hundreds of thousands of our grafts are distributed world-wide from our Kettering</p> <p>facility, and the primary purpose of a Distribution Technician is to fulfill those orders both accurately and</p> <p>efficiently. Grafts are shipped both frozen and ambiently via ground and air. Collectively the team will</p> <p>also assist Customer Service in their mission to distribute The Gift to its recipients.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <p>Distribution Technician I</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for inspecting, packing, and shipping of tissue for distribution. </li><li>Responsible for stocking newly released inventory. </li><li>Assist in regular inventory verification. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining shipping data base of customers. </li><li>Assist in the bulk mailing of marketing packets. </li><li>Ensure the Distribution area is kept orderly and that Distribution functions are completed accurately and in a timely manner. </li><li>Responsible for reviewing all related paperwork generated by Distribution to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, work instructions and applicable regulations. </li><li>Participate in the on-call rotation schedule required for the emergency ordering process and alarm systems. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Distribution Technician II</p> <ul> <li>Responsibilities of Distribution Technician I. </li><li>Assist Customer Service in general graft and shipping inquiries. </li><li>Maintain open communication with Customer Service regarding order changes, cancellations, returns. </li><li>Assist Manager, Supervisor, Team Leaders, and Specialists with training and mentoring of new employees </li><li>Responsible for adequate inventory and ordering shipping supplies. </li><li>First line solution experts for Distribution Technician I issues </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Distribution Technician I</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) preferred </li><li>Must be able to follow directions and serve as a team member. </li><li>Must be able to report numbers accurately and monitor error control. </li></ul> <p>Distribution Technician II</p> <ul> <li>Requirements of Distribution Technician I. </li><li>Six (6) months previous experience as a Distribution Technician I. </li><li>Training Modules 100% complete. </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES</p> <p>Distribution Technician I</p> <ul> <li>Heavy lifting required. </li><li>Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation. </li></ul> <p>Distribution Technician II</p> <ul> <li>Heavy lifting required. </li><li>Able to be rotated between West and East distribution locations. </li><li>Must maintain order accuracy /error free rate of 99.75% or better, reviewed quarterly. </li><li>*May be required to drop off shipments to FedEx / UPS locations if courier is unavailable. </li><li>Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation. </li></ul> <p>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Associates Degree </li><li>At least six (6) months experience in a leadership or management role. </li><li>Previous training experience </li><li>*For those interested in being assigned to drive company vehicle, in circumstances where courier is unavailable to drop off shipments to FedEx/UPS locations, a valid drivers license and ability to be covered on company insurance policy would be required. </li></ul>
