<p>Mountain Vista Senior Living, an American Baptist Homes of the Midwest community, is looking for a knowledgeable and creative nurse to join our team as our Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) and Infection Preventionist (IP).</p> <p>In this RN SDC and IP role, you will oversee our staff development and training program which involves developing content, educating and training all current and newly hired nursing employees in accordance with state and federal regulations and established clinical best practices. You will also work closely with our team of nurses to develop and provide care to residents, which includes occasional time working on the floor.</p> <p>You will also have responsibility for the planning, direction, evaluation and implementation of the infection prevention and control program. This includes verification and administration of immunizations for new hires and annually. Your role will support both our Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living residents and teams; as well as, the entire campus as necessary.</p> <ul> <li>Pay starts from $91,520+ based on experience </li><li>This is a full-time exempt position which may require additional work as the Infection Preventionist </li><li>Includes rotating on-call responsibilities </li><li>LIGHT RAIL FRIENDLY: TAKE THE G LINE TO WARD ROAD EXIT </li></ul> <p>Share your passion for working with residents and a top-notch nursing team and join us at Mountain Vista!</p> <p>What you will need:</p> <ul> <li>Registered nurse (RN) with current, unencumbered licensure with the State Board of Nursing in state(s) in which he/she practices. </li><li>A minimum of a BSN from an accredited school of nursing is preferred. </li><li>1+ year experience as a supervisor in geriatrics, or other comparable long term care experience. </li><li>Prior teaching experience in adult education strongly preferred. </li><li>Infection Control Certification or other specialized IPC training beyond initial professional training or education prior to assuming the role </li><li>Awareness of national organizations' guidelines as well as those from national/state/local public health authorities (e.g., emerging pathogens). </li><li>The background and ability to fully carry out the requirements of the IP based on the needs of the resident population, such as interpreting clinical and laboratory data. </li></ul> <p>Who we are:</p> <p>We Care!
