<p>Cognizant's Engineering practice is seeking a highly Java Technical Analyst to bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution. In this role, you will analyze, design, and oversee the implementation of scalable Java-based Microservices and API-driven solutions. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations.</p> <p>Please note: A few of our roles may require in-person interviews at Cognizant offices or client locations, depending on project or client needs</p> <p>Cognizant will not sponsor H-1B or other U.S. work authorization for this role.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>System Analysis & Design: Translate high-level business requirements into detailed technical specifications, focusing on microservices architecture and RESTful API design. </li><li>Technical Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert for the development team, providing guidance on Java best practices, design patterns, and performance optimization. </li><li>API Management: Define and document API contracts, ensuring seamless integration between internal services and third-party systems. </li><li>Impact Analysis: Perform deep-dive analysis on existing systems to determine the impact of new features or architectural changes, particularly within distributed environments. </li><li>Java Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Java (8/11/17+) and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security). </li><li>Microservices Architecture: Proven experience designing and deploying distributed systems, including knowledge of service discovery, circuit breakers, and load balancing. </li><li>API Development: Strong expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
