<p>GENERAL DESCRIPTION</p> <p>The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for overseeing tactical freight execution, carrier performance, and strategic transportation initiatives. This role partners cross-functionally to implement programs and develop logistics solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support company growth.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, including carriers, warehousing, sales, and sourcing. </li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally to prioritize initiatives all customers, ensuring freight requirements are met and delivery efficiency optimized. </li><li>Assist in negotiate contracts and terms with carriers to improve service levels and reduce costs. </li><li>Manage and review departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with company-wide financial goals. </li><li>Oversee third-party logistics providers for end-to-end execution of less-than-truckload (LTL) deliveries. </li><li>Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery rate and carrier performance to drive continuous improvement. </li><li>Support network changes including site start-ups, production shifts, and customer realignments. </li><li>Ensure compliance with DOT (IATA, IMDG) regulations, company policies, and safety standards. </li><li>Leverage Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and analytics tools to enhance operational visibility and decision-making. </li></ul> <p>NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS</p> <p>On site position with workspace maintained both in office space as well as warehouse desk.
