<p>Overview</p> <p>The Agency of Digital Services (ADS) is seeking an experienced, strategic leader to serve as the Director of Operations and Organizational Management. This role is responsible for overseeing a wide range of critical operational and administrative functions that directly support the agency's effectiveness and long-term goals.</p> <p>The Director will manage financial operations, space utilization, employee experience initiatives, organizational development, onboarding/offboarding processes, recruitment efforts, and more. This position requires exceptional leadership, discretion, and a deep understanding of state systems and operational frameworks.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee operational functions including accounts payable, purchasing card management, telephony billing, and professional development programs. </li><li>Manage agency-wide space planning and utilization in coordination with leadership and external partners. </li><li>Lead employee engagement and organizational development initiatives to enhance workplace culture. </li><li>Direct salary and benefits reviews, aligning compensation plans with budget goals. </li><li>Supervise onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring policy compliance and smooth transitions. </li><li>Maintain the agency's organizational structure and manage staffing changes and reorganizations. </li><li>Represent ADS in recruitment efforts and career fairs, managing related logistics and outreach. </li><li>Serve as the primary liaison to the Department of Human Resources (DHR). </li><li>Handle confidential and sensitive staffing and financial information with discretion. </li></ul> <p>Qualified Candidates Should Also:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate leadership in managing complex operational functions. </li><li>Have strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and resource allocation. </li><li>Show expertise in organizational development and employee engagement. </li><li>Have proficiency in systems including VTHR, Vantage, Excel, VISIO, and Adobe. </li><li>Have working knowledge of VSEA bargaining agreements and DHR procedures. </li><li>Have a high degree of professionalism and ability to manage confidential information. </li><li>Show excellent communication, collaboration, and strategic decision-making skills. </li></ul> <p>This is a Confidential Director-level position due to its access to sensitive personnel and financial data and its strategic impact on agency operations.
