Plan your future with the Superior Court of Los Angeles County - connect with us today.</p> <p>ABOUT THE POSITION</p> <p>The Warehouse Worker - Distribution Services plays a vital role in supporting the Court's warehouse and distribution operations by receiving, storing, moving, and delivering a wide range of materials, supplies, and equipment. This position is hands on and fast paced, involving regular use of pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse tools to ensure accurate inventory management and timely distribution. In addition, this role requires driving cargo vans and box trucks on a regular basis to transport materials. The role also supports judges and court staff by organizing law libraries, maintaining inventory systems, and assisting with the disposal or redistribution of obsolete items.</p> <p>Current vacancy is based at our Monrovia Warehouse and requires driving cargo vans and box trucks on a regular basis to transport materials. This recruitment may be used to fill future Warehouse Worker vacancies located in Downtown Los Angeles.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support warehouse operations by receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing materials, supplies, law books, and IT equipment. </li><li>Maintain accurate inventory through data entry, record updates, periodic counts, and proper placement of materials. </li><li>Assist judges and court staff by organizing law library materials, updating book components, and ensuring timely disposal or redistribution of outdated items. </li></ul> <p>The official classification for the role is Materials Assistant. Please note the requirements in the job description may vary from the requirements in this bulletin.</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>To qualify, you must meet one of the following options at the final filing date of this bulletin:</p> <p>OPTION I: Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent* - AND - six (6) months of experience in receiving, storing, issuing, shipping, or inventorying supplies, equipment or property.</p> <p>OPTION II: Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent - AND - six (6) months of experience in specialized office clerical work in connection with procurement activities.</p> <ul> <li>To qualify for Options that require educational credentials, you must attach the required documentation to your application. For more information, please visit our Applicant Support page. </li><li>Procurement activities are defined as coordinating material purchases, deliveries and verifying inventory. </li></ul> <p>Note: Credit for experience is based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a pro rate basis (e.g., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience). Overtime does not count toward additional credit.</p> <p>DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Active and valid forklift certification </li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) </li><li>Extensive experience directly performing work in receiving, storing, issuing, shipping, or inventorying supplies, equipment or property including experience with a warehouse management system </li></ul> <p>APPLICANT SUPPORT & INFORMATION</p> <p>Applications must be submitted online.
