<p>Job Title: Utility Driver- Street Sweeper Location: Ochlocknee, GA Department: Maintenance Reports To: Maintenance Technician Supervisor Shift: 7A-3P Job Summary In addition to operating the sweeper, the Utility Truck Driver performs a variety of general and skilled labor functions in support of maintenance packaging, processing, warehousing and plant aesthetics.</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <p>Operates sweeper to clean yard and road areas. Performs packaging, processing or warehousing duties such as: Reclaiming damaged pallets, unloading trucks, assists with loading boxcars, placing dunnage, etc., and/or; Assisting with changing screens, cleaning elevators, cleaning out pipes, etc., and/ or; Reclaiming damaged pallets, stacking, bailing, sewing, etc. Operates equipment such as bobcat, front-end loader, sweeper, forklift and road sweeper to move debris, waste receptacles, pallets, and other materials on the plant grounds Performs general clean-up using manual equipment such as shovels, brooms, mops, fire hoses and floor jacks Performs pre-operational equipment checks and monitors performance and gauges during operation. Follows all safety rules and regulations Keeps all areas clean and free of clutter Must act in accordance with WE CARE and participate in improvement activities. Other actions as needed to satisfy company goals, process, and procedures and to uphold values inherent to Oil-Dri. Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Education: Must be able to read, comprehend, and act on product specifications, SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), PWI (Process Work Instructions), AIQ processes, and similar documents. Licensure/Certification: Must possess Commercial Driver's License A (CDL A). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</p> <p>Must be able to effectively communicate with team leader, shipping/receiving clerks, scheduler, supervisors, customers, drivers, etc. Must satisfy the spirit of WE CARE. Must be able to sit on required equipment throughout shift. Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently. Bending reaching, twisting, stooping, walking and climbing stairways and ladders frequently. Good sight and hearing to avoid hazard. Must be able to function in the required role while wearing appropriate PPE including, but not limited to: Safety glasses, hearing protection, dust mask, protective coveralls, and pother as may be required by a hot/cold, dusty, loud industrial environment. Must meet all physical requirements of the position.</p> <p>Hourly Rate: $24.47</p>
