<p>Job Description Summary</p> <p>Health Care Provider for the Transplant Nephrology and Transplant ICCE. Uses advanced clinical management, consultation, education and research to promote quality care for the specific transplant patient populations. Develops and implements clinical pathway guidelines and evaluates outcomes. Advances clinical knowledge through research-based practice. Coordinates staff development and assists in orientation. An ability to establish cooperative working relationships with diverse groups and individuals, medical staff and other health care disciplines and understanding of the consultative process. The ideal applicant will have the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a wide range of groups and individuals, possess highly developed analytical skills, interpersonal skills and organizational skills, and must have emotional/mental ability to perform effectively and efficiently under pressure during stressful or emergency situations. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions. Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required. Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors. Frequently lift, lower, push and pull and/or carry objects weighing 50 lbs (+/-) unassisted, exert up to 50 lbs of force, lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs. Infrequently work in dusty areas and confined/cramped spaces.</p> <p>Additional Job Description</p> <p>Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and two years clinical experience required, at least one year of which must have been in a specialty area of care. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner specific to the area of employment required unless a new graduate. New graduates must be certification eligible upon employment, and obtain certification within six months of employment. Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse and hold official recognition as a Nurse Practitioner from the South Carolina Board of Nursing.
