<p>JOB POSTING</p> <p>JOB TITLE: Staff Accountant</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: Finance</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Controller</p> <p>PURPOSE OF POSITION:</p> <p>This position is responsible for processing all facets of general ledger transactions including accounting for monthly accruals, fixed assets, sales taxes, bank reconciliations and other government tax reports as needed.</p> <p>The successful candidate should have a sound background and understanding of GAAP principles and be able to perform tasks independently with little supervision.</p> <p>EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting Required. </li><li>Minimum 5 years experience in General Ledger accounting. </li><li>Proficiency with Word, Excel, and MS Office products (including Outlook) required. </li><li>Extensive Excel spreadsheet development and maintenance experience required. </li><li>Familiarity with manufacturing environment, especially one utilizing an ERP system is a plus. </li></ul> <p>DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Compile financial information and prepare journal entries to general ledger accounts. </li><li>Maintain chart of accounts </li><li>Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, income statement accounts, credit card accounts, purchasing accounts and tracking of fixed assets and depreciation calculation. </li><li>Reconcile bank accounts to General Ledger, create journal entries, daily reconciliation of accounts receivable deposits to bank. </li><li>Manage bi-weekly payroll processing to include standard accruals. </li><li>Manage state sales tax reporting and filing. </li><li>Prepare, calculate, submit, and arrange payment for excise tax. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>www.knightarmco.com/careers</p> <p>Knight Enterprises Management, L.L.C. is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, disability status, ancestry, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, or any other protected factor by country, regional or local law.
